just wondering why inkmoth?

i would put something in its place unless its an alt win condition but it would still be 10 turns.

you just love clutch of the undercity dont you? :p

inkmoth and blinkmoths are 'unactive' creatures to polymorph. since they are land, they can't be killed (by creature removal) unless i activate them. so it's a safe creature that is harder to get rid that can be used for mana as well. plus they are artifact creature to activate mox's metalcraft faster.

i find that it'd be more useful in any ways to polymorph lands that transform into creature than tokens that can be cleaned any time.

as for clutch, yes i love this card lol. perfect uncounterable tutor that can be used as a bounce permanent when needed :p

i understand the creature factor but to make it into an artifact already costs 1 so your at a stalemate w/ mana acceleration

even though it's any color mana you only have two colors in your deck and iona doesn't count shes sideboard and you get her by polymorph

you also have 4 split lands which isn't shabby. i would add some crack lands if you got em

overall a pretty cool deck. not sure how effective you'll have to let me know on that one

well yeah since i made my deck around nexus i though playing metalcraft was the way to go. it have alot of advantages: blocker when needed (plus flyer), creatures that are harder to kill, metalcraft, mana plus an alt win condition. don't forget that blinkmoth can be used to boost inkmoth so the poison counter add faster.

all that while playing control.

i tryed this deck on once so far on a modern tounament. i won 2 game out of 4. i won against blue white control and tarmogoyf. i lost twice against affinity.

but tbh affinity ones had like perfect hand ever both time.. (like) mox opal, memnite, omni, and 2 signal pest turn 1. i mean ... not many deck could handle this lol.

since you're playing black, probably use bitterblossom. khalni garden, inkmoth and bitterblossom are enough targets, no need for blinkmoth. maybe some faeries sideboard so you can switch plans completely.

also, mutavault will help as a creature ans as a faerie. ;)

i though about bitterblossom but it is banned in modern format :/. as for mutavault, it was either this or nexus, but nexus was cheaper (in term of money) so i went for it isntead. plus it can boost my inkmoth if i want to kill with infect.
